Mass is the highest prayer we have as Catholics. We join together as a one church family to receive Jesus into our hearts in the word and body. This big family is not complete without your children present with us; and we want to help your children receive the Word in a way they can understand. During mass, your children have the opportunity to join our team of teachers to hear the readings and gospel delivered at their learning level through engaging teaching methods and fun activities.
Your child will begin Mass with your family, and leave prior to the first reading, led by a team of teachers to the cry room, to participate in Catechesis of the Word. After the homily, your child will return to pray along with your family for the remainder of Mass.
Catechesis of the Word for Children takes place each week at out 9:00 AM Sunday Mass. It is free to participate for all children age 3 through 1st Grade, but pre-registration is preferred.
There will be no Catechesis of the Word for Children on the following Sundays: February 22, March 8, and April 5.
Alleu!
Faith Formation is an excellent opportunity for children to learn about their faith as they grow so their faith grows with them. It allows children to be curious about faith in an age appropriate setting. They are encouraged to ask questions and wonder about all aspects of faith. Allelu is a faith formation curriculum rooted in scripture to create the foundation of a relationship with the Catholic Faith at an age appropriate level. Focused on scripture, each lesson is delivered through a story from the Bible to invite the students into the life of Jesus. Students will learn through engaging lessons, activities, and hands-on experiences all about Catholicism and how to have a relationship with God.
Faith Formation classes for Pre-K (age 4) to Grade 1 are Wednesdays from 6:00 - 7:15 PM. Registration is required.
