The sacraments are a great gift given to the Church by Christ as a beautiful way for each one of us to draw close to Him. St. Augustine said the sacraments are "visible signs of invisible grace." The goal of Saint Rose's sacramental preparation is to help our young people understand the visible signs and ready their hearts for God's grace. We not only want each child to feel well prepared for the first time they receive each sacrament, but we also want them to be excited to receive the eucharist and participate in confession regularly. Through engaging classroom activities, prayer, family workshops, and opportunities to see God moving in their life, we achieve those goals! Sacramental preparation typically begins in 2nd grade, and meets late September through early May, WEDNESDAYS from 6:00PM-7:00PM.The videos and work below are for all families with children who are preparing for first reconciliation and did not attend the family workshop.
